Who we are
Schools in Kent is an independent directory of schools in Kent and Medway, run for Kent parents. You can reach us at info@schoolsinkent.co.uk.
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email, subject and message. Stored so we can reply.
- Newsletter: your email address, stored so we can send you the Kent Parents newsletter.
- Postcode search: your postcode is sent to postcodes.io to find nearby schools. We do not store your postcode.
- Enquiries to advertisers: when you contact a business listed in our Local Services directory we collect your name, email, optional phone number, optional town and an optional child age or year group. This is passed to that business so they can reply, and we keep a copy so we can help if something goes wrong.
- Analytics: anonymous page-visit data (once analytics is enabled) so we know which schools and guides parents find most useful.
What we don't collect
We don't sell your data and we don't run intrusive third-party ad networks. We never ask for your child's name, school or date of birth. The only optional detail about your child is a broad age or year group on an enquiry form, so the business you contact knows whether they can help. You can leave it blank.
Analytics and consent
Analytics and advertising cookies only run if you accept them in our cookie banner. Until you do, we measure nothing about your visit. You can change your mind at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer.
How to remove your data
Email info@schoolsinkent.co.uk and we'll delete any contact-form message or newsletter subscription within 7 days.
