What you are buying
Advertising on Schools in Kent is a fixed fee for a defined placement, set out on the page for each product. We take no commission on any work, bookings or enrolments that follow. Enquiries go directly to the contact address you give us.
Payment and renewals
Payment is taken securely by card at the point of purchase. Business profiles are annual: Built for you is £197 for the first year and renews at £97 a year, and Self Service is £97 a year. Renewals are taken automatically on the anniversary of your purchase and we email you before each one. You can cancel the next renewal at any time from your advertiser account, and your profile stays live until the end of the year you have paid for. Sponsored articles, open day promotions and site-wide sponsorship are one-off payments with no automatic renewal.
Cancelling and refunds
You have 14 days from payment to change your mind and receive a full refund, provided we have not yet started work at your request.
- Before work starts. Cancel within 14 days and we refund you in full.
- After you ask us to start. When you submit your brief you are asking us to begin immediately. If you then cancel within the 14 days, we refund the fee less a fair, proportionate amount for the work already completed, such as a written draft or a built profile.
- Once your placement is live. The service has been delivered, so the fee for that year or that one-off placement is not refundable. You can still cancel the next annual renewal at any time.
- Renewals. If a renewal is taken and you tell us within 14 days that you no longer want the profile, we will refund that renewal in full and take the profile down.
- If we cannot publish. If we decline your content and cannot agree a version we are willing to publish, we refund you in full.
To cancel or ask for a refund, email us from the address on your account or use our contact form. Refunds are made to the original payment method, normally within five working days.
Your content
You confirm that you own or have permission to use the words, logos and photographs you send us, and that the claims you make about qualifications, checks and accreditations are accurate. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your information and for keeping it up to date.
What we review and may decline
We review everything before publication. We may ask for changes, or decline content that is misleading, unverifiable, unsuitable for a family audience, or unlawful. We may remove a live placement if it becomes inaccurate, if a complaint is upheld, or if these terms are breached. Where we remove a placement for reasons outside your control, we refund the unused part of the year.
Labelling and editorial independence
Paid placements are always clearly labelled. Advertising never changes how a school is described, how Ofsted outcomes are reported, or the guidance we publish for parents.
Timescales
Timescales quoted on our product pages, such as a first draft within three working days, start from the point we receive everything we need from you. Delays in receiving your brief, images or approval move those dates.
Liability
Our liability to advertisers is limited to the fee you have paid for the placement concerned. We cannot guarantee a particular number of views, enquiries or customers.
Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. The terms that apply to you are the ones published when you bought or last renewed your placement.
